Importance of Viewings

A viewing is an important part of the grief process, it is a time to say goodbye.

The “Viewing” is a term which describes the time mourners spend with the deceased person after death and before the funeral.

A viewing is an important part of the grief process, it is a time to say goodbye.

It helps us to acknowledge that death has occurred and to confirm that the person who has died is the person in the coffin.

It helps us come to terms with the reality and finality of death. It also provides you with the opportunity to express personal thoughts, to talk to the deceased and maybe just hold their hand allowing for final closure.
